Snooker professional Mark King made a special appearance at the Crowland British Legion Club last Saturday night.
Romford’s King, who once ranked as high as number 11 in the world, took on nine local players in exhibition matches.
Amazingly, Spalding and District Snooker League ace Jason Green, of the Pyramid Club in Bourne, managed to take a frame off the man dubbed The Romford Battler.
It was the only frame he lost all night, however, as King showed his class.
