Former favourite Stevens strikes to sink Holbeach United in Wisbech derby

Defender Jamie Stevens scored the only goal of the game as Holbeach United suffered a 1-0 derby defeat against Wisbech Town on Wednesday night.

Stevens, who is a former Holbeach captain, netted from a corner in the first half at Carter’s Park to settle the showdown.

The defeat ends Holbeach’s hopes of winning the ChromaSport UCL Premier Division title, but puts Wisbech very much in contention.
