Fleet and Holbeach groups help toddler with cancer

Two local groups have got behind a fundraising drive for a four-year-old girl who has been diagnosed with cancer.

Jocelyn Leaver, of Skegness, has been diagnosed with neuroblastoma and has a watermelon-sized tumour in her stomach.

Anglia Motel, Fleet, owner Harold Payne saw her featured on a local news programme and wanted to do something.

So he took the World War Two landing craft he’s renovated to Hunstanton offering the chance to sit in it for a fee.

In total he raised £1,300 thanks also to extra donations from friends and punters for the fund that’s been set up to help fund Jocelyn’s treatment.

It was something Holbeach charity shop Chosen heard about and they too donated £1,000 towards the cause.
