Emma’s taking the lead with launch of canine legal advice

A Spalding-based solicitor is spearheading the launch of a new canine law department.
Emma McGrath is heading up the department of Ringrose Law who are the first legal firm in the county to be providing canine law legal advice.
There are now around 24 Acts of Parliament relating solely to dogs and a further 11 relating to animals in general.
It is, therefore, increasingly likely that dog owners will, at some stage, require legal advice of some kind in relation to their canine companion.
The Ringrose Law Canine Law department can cover a vast range of advice including ownership disputes, community protection orders, barking dogs and damage claims.
They will also be continuing to offer advice for anyone with dog bite claims through the personal injury department.
Solicitor and associate Emma not only provides advice in a professional capacity but often finds herself offering advice to the many dog owning friends and competitors she meets in her personal life.
She commented: “I have always been a great lover of dogs and currently own a Border Collie and a Sprocker, who both undertake dog agility training and compete in local competitions.
“I have always had a strong interest in canine law and regularly write articles for national dog publications, dealing with issues that dog-owners may face.
“Lincolnshire is such an agricultural county, with many dog owners, that we feel there is a real opportunity to advise people when they have a problem.
“This new service will provide people with the opportunity for either 20 minutes free telephone advice or a free appointment with myself or a member of our team seven days a week across Lincolnshire and Newark.”
