Crucial Rolls Royce victory edges Spalding RFC closer to safety

Spalding RFC’s status in Midlands Three East (North) is now much less precarious after an important victory over Rolls Royce on Saturday.

Town triumphed 19-7 at the Memorial Field in the only game played in the division and are now eight points clear of the bottom three with just two games left to play.

Those games are against second-placed Ashby (away) on April 14 and mid-table Belper (home) on April 21.
