Last year’s winner Audrey Blonder, of Fairfields, Holbeach, receives her prizes from Jill and Terry Harrington, watched by Holbeach In Bloom committee member Carol Rudkin.

Competition: Holbeach in Bloom to reward top gardeners

Holbeach In Bloom has got cash prizes on offer again for the town’s best gardens.

For the second year running, the group has teamed up with The Voice to run the competition and reward people making a big effort.

Whatever your outside space – a garden, balcony or window box – Holbeach In Bloom wants to see it. Judges Terry and Jill Harrington will visit each entrant during July and decide the winners.

There are three prizes – £50, £30 and £20 and this year there is an additional £25 prize for the best community effort.

Chairman Graham Rudkin said: “All sorts of things will be taken into account – neatness, colour, variety, layout, creativity. We loved seeing all the entries last year and just had to do it again.”

Any resident in Holbeach or nearby village can enter.

Send photos (with name, address and phone number) via email to competition@spaldingvoice.co.uk or post to Holbeach In Bloom competition, The Spalding and South Holland Voice, 14-16 Winsover Road, Spalding PE11 3AB. Closing date is Friday, June 30.
