Celebs score slots on charity football team

Famous faces from the likes of The X-Factor, Liverpool Football Club, Emmerdale and I’m A Celebrity will form an all-star football team in Holbeach Bank this Saturday (August 12).

The Charity Football Tournament Family Fun Day will be held at Holbeach Bank Football Club.

Local team Growers United will be led by Liverpool FC legend Alan Kennedy.

The opposing team will feature Emmerdale’s Danny Miller, who plays Aaron Dingle on the TV soap. Miller’s Emmerdale co-star Michael Warrender (Ethan) will join him.

Jake Quickenden, star of The X-Factor and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here will also face off against the Growers.

The main match kicks off at 3.30pm.

Refreshments will be provided by local ice-cream shop Laddies, with hot food by The Lincolnshire Hog Roast Company and The Old Exchange Holbeach.

There’ll be more action off the pitch with bouncy castles for all ages.

Proceeds will go towards Once Upon A Smile, LIVES charity and Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance.

The event begins at 9am and runs until 11pm.

Entry is £5 (under-12s free).
