Celebrating 50 years in school

Former and current pupils and teachers at St Bartholomew’s Primary School in West Pinchbeck came together to celebrate its 50th anniversary on Friday, July 5.

Its annual Summer Fair doubled up as the celebration marking the opening of the current building.

The event was opened by 91-year-old former teacher Mollie Gay and the school’s 108 students singing songs from The Greatest Showman.

There were also displays on the history of the school including plenty of pictures alongside a host of stalls and games.

Current headteacher James Shawley, said: “It was a fantastic event and a great celebration of a beautiful school.”
