You can Bank on Holbeach for South Holland’s sole league win

Holbeach Bank picked up South Holland’s sole three-point haul in the ChromaSport Peterborough and District League on Saturday.

On a weekend dominated by cup action, a double from Lee Hunt and strikes from Steve Parker and Jamie Forman eased Bank to a 4-0 Division Four success at Glinton and Northborough Reserves.

In the same division, Joe Deboo’s double helped sentence Long Sutton Athletic Reserves to a 5-0 drubbing at Bretton North End.

Up in the Premier Division, Moulton Harrox lost their unbeaten record after going down 3-0 at home to Oakham United. Pinchbeck United fared better, as Adam Abell’s strike earned them a 1-1 draw at Sawtry.

Crowland Town remain rock bottom after being hammered 7-2 at Uppingham Town. Michael Craig got both of their goals.

Holbeach United Reserves are just above them in 16th place after being beaten 3-1 by Langtoft United at Carter’s Park. Matthew Cawthorne notched.

It was a similar story for Long Sutton Athletic in Division One, as they slipped up 2-0 at home to Baston.

Sutton Bridge United were handed a 4-2 reverse by Kings Cliffe in the same division, despite strikes from Ben English and Kurt Scott.

Meanwhile, Moulton Harrox Reserves crashed out of the Chairman Championship Shield 4-2 at AFC Stanground. Simon Penney and Matt Watkin both bagged for Harrox to force extra time at 2-2.

In the Intermediate Shield, Darren Paling bagged a brace to steer Crowland Town Reserves to a 4-1 Snowden Field win over Riverside Reserves.

Darren Warner and Jack Blackbird got the others.

A Tomasz Rabiega brace helped Spalding Town breeze past Tydd St Mary 4-0, with Ben Holland and James Thorold the others on target.

There was a thriller in the League Shield as Sutton Bridge United saw off hosts Whaplode Drove 5-4. Ray Points (2), Jamie Griffin (2) and Reece Robinson bagged for Bridge, with Lee Jackson (2), David Jenkins and Luke Baines netting for Drove.

Elsewhere, a Hamish Munro double couldn’t stop Tydd Reserves going down 3-2 at home to Stamford Bels Reserves and a brace from Michael Ocock steered Holbeach United A to a 2-1 triumph at Warboys Reserves.
