Bradbury double is tonic for Moulton Harrox

Two very late goals from Ian Bradbury saw Moulton Harrox pull off something of a shock result in ChromaSport Peterborough and District League.

The goals – on 87 and 91 minutes – were the only ones of the game at Oakham United, who started the day top of the league.

That’s three wins on the trot for Moulton who will be hoping to keep the momentum going ahead of the Lincs FA Junior Cup semi-final at home to Brumby on February 14 (1.30pm).
Moulton leapfrogged Pinchbeck United in the Premier Division table into sixth place.

Ian Dunn’s side lost out by the odd goal in nine at Leverington Sports, who moved off the bottom of the table as a result.
Olly Maltby scored twice and Mark Lovelace and Garry Guyan were on the mark for Pinchbeck, who finished the match with nine players.
Keeper James Doughty got a straight red card and there was a second yellow for Tom Brooks.

Crowland Town slipped to the foot of the table after a 3-2 home reverse against Langtoft United, James Ellwood and sub Teddy Paling’s goals in vain.

Meanwhile, Sawtry Reserves dealt Spalding United’s title challenge a mighty blow as they came back from 2-0 down to equalise with the last kick of the game.
Edgaras Buzas made the breakthrough for the Division Two leaders when he fired home a penalty on the hour. Jamie Cartlidge soon doubled their lead with a header from close range.
Sawtry pulled one back with 20 minutes left, and then levelled following a Spalding corner with 60 seconds left.

Down in Division Five, Whaplode Drove maintained their relentless drive at the top.
Lee Jackson, Lee Horwood, Jordan Kirchin and Joe Strickland got the goals for the leaders in a 4-1 win at Sawtry A.

Spalding Town won an Intermediate Shield tie at Peterborough ICA Sports A 3-0 on penalties after a 2-2 draw.
