Winter arrived with a bang at the weekend as thunder accompanied snow, hail and sleet in south Lincolnshire.
Just a week after residents enjoyed above-average temperatures, the heating was on and log-burners lit as the chilly blast arrived on Saturday evening.
While there was much greater snowfall further north, the Sutton Bridge area was a picture of winter for a while.
The storm passed, but parts of the Fens into Norfolk and Cambridgeshire also had a covering of snow and hail as the temperature plummeted.
Bonfire parties this weekend should be fine – but it will be cloudy.
